In January 2013 in Annecy, France, the PRIME-XS proteomics consortium organizes an educational workshop on proteomics biomarker detection/quantification using proteomics technology for PhD students and postdocs in the field of Life Sciences. The workshop will consist of two half days, January 29 afternoon and January 30 morning. The program includes presentations on biomarker detection and biomarker quantification by both PRIME-XS PIs and external speakers that are experts in the targeted proteomics field, including advanced SRM strategies and enrichment strategies. The workshop will also comprise round table discussions a poster session and social activities allowing the participants to interact with the speakers. Basic knowledge of proteomics is required for course attendance.

Deadline for registration is November 30, 2012, the maximum number of participants is 30 people and restricted to 1 person per research group (PI). Attendance and accommodation (for the night of 29-30 January, shared twin rooms) is covered by PRIME-XS, but participants are expected to arrange and pay for their own travelling.
The workshop will take place in the hotel Palace de Menthon in Annecy, France. Annecy can be reached by train or bus from Geneva International Airport.
