Upon submission of your PRIME-XS project, the following things will happen:
- A designated scientist at the selected Access Site (an "Editor") will make sure your proposal is correctly submitted. This includes checks on whether the complete proposal is submitted, if you are from eligible country and if the Access Site selected has the appropriate technology for the suggested experiments.
- If the proposal is correct, the Editor then selects two external reviewers (either from the International Access Board or other external experts) who will be asked to review your proposal. They judge the proposal for example on scientific quality, how critical the proteomics experiments are for the success of the project and if the experimental design is correct.
- After approximately 2-3 weeks, you will be informed of the outcome of the external review via the Access Site Editor. If the external reviewers have decided positively, you will in addition be invited to discuss the practical details of the scheduled experiments and, if appopriate, a visit to the Access Site, with the Editor.
