PRIME-XS is proud to announce that the first ever PRIME-XS user publication has recently been published in Proteins - Structure, Function and Bioinformatics. The study was one of the first PRIME-XS user projects to be submitted and accepted during the early beta stage of the PRIME-XS submission process. It deals with the DNA binding capacity of proteins from the toxin–antitoxin system of the Gram-positive bacterium Streptococcus pneumoniae and used native protein mass spectrometry technology offered at the NPC access site to analyse the stoichiometry of these proteins alone and in complex and when associated to its DNA target. The NPC access site in Utrecht was visited by researcher Elizabeth Diago-Navarro of the Centro de Investigaciones Biológicas in Madrid, Spain to perform the work.
